Scott Jay Abraham. Real estate agents and brokers can benefit a lot from learning the basic principles of photography. Since the first thing most prospective buyers or tenants see is an image of a property (on online sites, usually), the image itself needs to make an impact, a great first impression, to keep the clients interested.

Here are two tips on how to capture the best images for properties on the market. Scott Jay Abraham.

Preparation is key. The key to every photo shoot is preparation. For real estate properties, it’s best to consider the gear. Smartphone cameras are usually good, as long as they come with editing software. Putting the property in a certain light does wonder for its appearance. Also, part of the preparation is to know the vantage points from which to shoot. Clean up the property as well, and don’t leave any broomsticks or lawnmowers in the middle of the yards. They ruin the shots. Scott Jay Abraham.

Use natural light. While it’s previously been discussed how helpful editing software can be when it comes to images in a certain light, the best light to use during shoots is natural lighting. Dimming the images a bit through editing is also good. However, when shooting the interiors, natural lighting is best. Scott Jay Abraham.
