The greatest rivals of the Golden State Warriors dynasty

Golden State Warriors dynasty rivals Scott Jay Abraham

Even after losing their crown to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors can hold their heads up high. They’ve won three championships in the past five years and have emerged as one of the few dynasties in the history of the league.

On that note, here are three of biggest rivals the Dubs have faced during their amazing run.

The Houston Rockets

For all intents and purposes, the Houston Rockets have been the only threat to the Warriors in the Western Conference. And what a threat they were. The Rockets were the only team in the league who could shoot and move the ball as well as the Warriors, and their showdowns in the playoffs have been nothing short of epic.

The Cleveland Cavaliers

There’s very little doubt that the Cavs were the main rivals of the Dubs throughout the past five years. They’ve met in four of the five past NBA Finals with the Dubs winning three of them. And it was meant to be as the team-oriented dubs faced off time and again against one of the greatest NBA players of all-time in Lebron James.

The Toronto Raptors

Truth be told, the Raptors only became one of Golden State’s main rivals this season, but credit to the Canadian team, they certainly made the most out of the opportunity. Will they remain a rival in seasons to come? Only time will tell.

The effects of mixed-used properties on architecture and engineering

The rise mixed-use properties — Scott Jay Abraham

The rise of mixed-use properties has certainly contributed to more productive use of space in many urban areas of the world. And while it seems that architects and engineers all over the country have found ways to overcome the many challenges mixed-use properties have posed early on, the effects these properties have had on architecture and engineering as a whole in undeniable.

For starters, mixed-use properties have to look appealing to several potential tenants, which include singles looking for living spaces, families, and business owners. This is why several condos developed not only have a warm feel to the entrance and lower floors, the landscaping outside the area is also conducive for family activities.

The combination of living, working, and playing is emphasized not just within the properties, but also in the surrounding areas as architects, landscapists, hardscape artists, and engineers all work together to put up parks for everyone to enjoy, and walkways to the nearest business establishments and offices.

Engineers have made sure that mixed-use properties have easy access to public transportation as well, planning the areas close to train and bus stations. This is a huge part of any community that is mixed-use dominant. Engineers and community planners have also included clinics, fire stations, and other important offices to keep a mixed-use property community sustainable. Scott Jay Abraham.

Interior Design 101: What the best hotels have in common

Uncategorized

Not all hotels are created equally. The best ones have that something special in their design that keeps people coming back. Whether guests are just passing through or staying for a weekend, how the interiors of a hotel are designed plays a big role in the experience. Scott Jay Abraham.

For example, there are some hotels so immaculately designed that when guests arrive, they immediately think, “Boy, I can stay here forever.” These are the hotels that have it all, from relaxing rooms that mirror the most relaxing places in a person’s mind to facilities and services that no other hotels offer. And these are the hotels that stick to a person’s memory. Scott Jay Abraham.

Many hotels have been designed to look bigger than they actually are. This gives a person a sense of adventure, even if they are only inside a hotel. Many of the best hotels entice guests to explore its premises, even incorporating little theme parks to go with the casinos inside. Scott Jay Abraham.

Finally, the best hotels are designed in such a way that it’s easy for guests to go from one place of the hotel to another. In fact, some hotels even have cable cars to bring guests from one area to another, all the while providing great views of the hotel and the city it’s in. Scott Jay Abraham.

Teams that could rival the Warriors this NBA season

Uncategorized

The Warriors are off to another great start this season, punctuated by highlight performances by Durant, Curry, and Thompson who had a 52-point, 14-three, record-breaking output versus the Bulls. Right now, Golden State is sitting comfortably atop the Western Conference, with a league-leading 8-1 record, their only defeat coming at the hands of the Nuggets on a last-second block.

Even this early, many teams on both conferences have shown significant improvement. The list includes the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Philly 76ers, Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Portland Trailblazers. Surprisingly playing sub-par are the deemed second-seeded Rockets, the new-look Lakers with LeBron, and Westbrook’s OKC.

Among these teams, we can still say that the Lakers are going to be a problem, even if LeBron and company are not faring so well lately. When they adjust, and if they make it to the playoffs, they should be a dangerous opponent for any team in the West. After all, LeBron-led teams have made it to the Finals in consecutive years. But if they are to match well with the Warriors, they’d need to drastically improve their defense.

The Nuggets and the Trailblazers are solid contenders as well, especially with continuity and improved team play. Anthony Davis’ Pelicans are always dangerous, too. And if the Rockets get their swagger back, they could drag the Warriors into a shooting duel.

But the main threat is still Boston in the East, this year boasting of a complete lineup with Hayward and Irving healthy. While Leonard’s Raptors and Antetokounmpo’s Bucks are doing well to start the season, the sheer depth of the Celtics should still make them the Warriors’ top rival going into the postseason.
